Project Description
Project Overview:
Globaluf is proud to be a part of the Tianjin Nangang Seawater Desalination Project, one of the largest membrane-based seawater desalination projects in China. This integrated project demonstrates our expertise in providing comprehensive water treatment solutions, from ultrafiltration to reverse osmosis, to address water scarcity challenges in industrial areas.
Project Details:
- Project Name: Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone Seawater Desalination and Integrated Utilization Project
- Location: Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, China
- Technologies: Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- Capacity:
- Ultrafiltration: 480,000 tons/day
- Primary Reverse Osmosis: 150,000 tons/day
- Secondary Reverse Osmosis: 54,000 tons/day
- Ultrafiltration System:
- Quantity: 32 Units
- Configuration: 120 membrane elements per unit, 80 square meters of membrane area per element
- Primary Reverse Osmosis System:
- Quantity: 5 Units
- Configuration: Single-stage array, 7 membranes per membrane housing, 336 membrane housings per unit, 2352 membranes in each unit.
- Secondary Reverse Osmosis System:
- Quantity: 3 Units
- Configuration: Two-stage array, 63:30, 558 membrane elements in each unit.
- Design: The design phase took approximately 1.5 months, finalizing the technical design for a "membrane column array, double-frame parallel connection, and independent unit" configuration.
- Manufacturing: Non-metallic materials were used for all piping. HDPE was primarily used for water and air mains, and PU material was used for gas distribution lines. Globaluf independently developed HDPE welding equipment to ensure precise positioning and assembly.
- Installation: Upon arrival at the site, the equipment was connected and membrane elements were installed according to the owner's requirements.
- Large-Scale Capacity: This project represents a significant investment in seawater desalination, providing a substantial source of freshwater for industrial use.
- Integrated Solution: The combination of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis technologies ensures the production of high-quality desalinated water.
- Advanced Materials: The use of non-metallic piping materials, such as HDPE and PU, enhances corrosion resistance and extends the lifespan of the system.
- Reliable Water Source: Provides a reliable and sustainable source of freshwater, reducing reliance on traditional water resources.
- Industrial Support: Supports industrial development in the Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone by providing a consistent supply of high-quality water.
- Environmental Sustainability: Reduces pressure on freshwater resources, contributing to environmental sustainability.
